We took an unexpected trip to Texas last week to visit my dad ("Granddaddy" to Lu) in the hospital. Dad was very lucky, and I'm glad that we could be there with him and the rest of my family. I think Lu hugs were the best possible medicine for him.We hope that he's feeling better and getting healthy so that he can keep up with Lu for years to come! (This sweet pic was taken a few weeks ago when we saw him in Austin under less worrisome circumstances.)
